Heute, am 21. Mai 2019, hat die EU endgültig das Verbot von Einwegartikeln aus Plastik beschlossen; darunter Getränkebecher, Trinkhalme, Teller, Besteck und Lebensmittelcontainer. Alles muss bis 2021 vom Markt. Bis 2029 sollen außerdem 90% aller Plastikflaschen gesammelt und recycelt werden. Hey, damit sind wir EUropäer*innen Vorreiter beim Kampf gegen die Vermüllung der Meere! ⠀
BYE BYE, SINGLE-USE PLASTIC. Today, May 21, the EU finally approved the ban on single-use plastics such as cups, straws, plates, cutlery and food containers by 2021. Furthermore, 90 percent of plastic bottles are to be recycled by 2029. This puts us EUropeans at the forefront of the global fight against marine litter.
